Prayer Ministries
Chapel Prayer There are moments in life when you simply need a place to pray and get your thoughts in order or you may need time away from the hustle and bustle of life. Perhaps you would like to pray for the church on a regular basis. Central offers Chapel Prayer on Wednesday mornings from 7:00 until 8:30. It is a quiet time …. a time to get in touch with God ... a time to lift in prayer all who are on your heart. This time is your time with God. Rev. Hansen serves Communion starting at 8:15 a.m to all who desire to share at the table of the Lord.
Contemplative Prayer & Labyrinth Our senior pastor, Rev. Randall Hansen, leads a contemplative prayer class in the fall. The class is a prerequisite for the Contemplative Prayer Workshop that runs through the year.
Central also has a labyrinth, an ancient tool for walking contemplation. The labyrinth (which is not a maze), is in the form of a circle (universal symbol of unity), with a meandering but purposeful path, from edge to center and back out again. In walking the path, the soul finds healing and wholeness.

Prayer Connections Prayer joys and concerns are gathered from the congregation each week on cards available in the pew. These are shared with the congregation in worship and are shared with Prayer Partners through e-mail on Monday morning.
When there is an emergency we do send out what we call "emergency prayer requests" or "Power Prayer" notifications via e-mail. The concern may be for an individual in surgery at that moment … for a loved one facing a sudden crisis… or for soldiers under fire in a far-away country.
For those in the congregation who are in need of continuous prayer (because of surgeries, illness, trauma) Central has Prayer Pagers which allow the church to let you know we are praying for you.
Please contact the church office at (231) 722-6545 for questions about Central’s Prayer Ministry. Central’s Chapel Prayer Coordinators are Peter and Mary Oakes.
